Future Ready Collier is keeping watch over current resources and updates for families about the start of school and related topics. Read on for specifics, and share with those who would benefit from this information. Stay tuned to the Future Ready Collier website and Facebook page for future quick summary updates like this one.

Collier County Public Schools keeps a webpage with details about the August 31 reopening. Parents may refer to this page to read about the learning models, safety procedures, and more. All students will have a CCPS-issued device for the school year, whether a laptop or tablet, depending on grade. All students also receive a face mask, buff, and safety glasses. If you have questions about reopening, email reopening@collierschools.com.

Before the start of school, be sure you’ve checked off your list: school registration and any required immunizations as well as school physicals. CCPS school registration this year is fully online for all grades and reachable by clicking here. Healthcare Network and the Department of Health are available options for well-child visits and immunizations. Both currently require appointments in advance.

If you need school supplies, tax-free shopping on qualifying goods runs through Sunday, August 9. Read more here about what is included in the sales tax holiday. With many families experiencing changes in employment and, as a result, health insurance, Florida KidCare offers quality, affordable health and dental insurance options. Families can apply at any time, and coverage may be free or subsidized depending on your circumstances. There are also upcoming application fairs for any Collier County Public School families needing to apply for free and reduced school lunches.

As more information is released and finalized, we’ll be sure to share it. While this remains an uncertain and unsettling time, Future Ready Collier is committed to being a community resource.
