Literacy Supports: Beyond the School Day

Wednesday April 13, 12:00-1:00pm, Virtual

Future Ready Collier welcomes Dr. Colleen Fletcher, Coordinator of Elementary Literacy for Collier County Public Schools (CCPS).

Dr. Colleen Fletcher

Dr. Fletcher (Ed.D., Curriculum and Instruction, Florida Gulf Coast University) is the Coordinator of Elementary Literacy for Collier County Public Schools.  She began her career in education nearly 30 years ago and has worked in all educational capacities including classroom teacher, reading resource teacher, literacy coach, and district literacy specialist. She is passionate about building a culture of reading for all children and considers herself a lifelong learner.

Recently, Dr. Fletcher has been working with CCPS and national education leaders to roll out a new literacy program for K-5 schools in Collier County.

Future Ready Collier and CCPS have been integral partners in the collective impact efforts over the last several years. There has been an increased interest and opportunity to cross-collaboratively share the material that Dr. Fletcher has been developing. This presentation is specifically tailored to Future Ready Collier partners and beyond who support literacy, wherever and however our community interacts with children.
